Terms of Service
Last updated: January 30, 2026
1. Overview
Welcome to tinyGRID ("tinyGRID," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the tinyGRID web application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
- If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf.
- If you are using tinyGRID on behalf of a business, you represent that you are authorized to bind that business to these Terms.
3. User Accounts
To use most features, you must create an account and keep your information accurate and up to date.
- Authentication is handled through Supabase as our authentication provider.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
- Notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized access or use of your account.
We may suspend or terminate your account if we believe you have violated these Terms.
4. Subscriptions, Billing, and Refunds
tinyGRID may offer free and paid plans (for example, one‑time "Pro" access and subscription "Cloud" plans). Payments are processed by Stripe as our payment processor.
- By starting a paid plan, you authorize Stripe to charge your selected payment method for recurring or one‑time fees, plus any applicable taxes.
- Subscription plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless canceled in accordance with the instructions provided in the Service (for example, through a billing portal link).
- You can cancel future renewals at any time; access to paid features will continue until the end of the current billing period.
- Unless stated otherwise in your specific offer or required by law, fees are non‑refundable.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree that you will not:
- Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purposes.
- Upload or share content that is illegal, defamatory, infringing, or violates others' rights.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or related systems.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
- Resell, sublicense, or exploit the Service contrary to these Terms.
We may investigate and take appropriate action (including suspension or termination) if you engage in prohibited conduct.
6. Your Content
You may create, upload, and store floor plans, project data, and other materials through tinyGRID ("User Content").
- You retain ownership of your User Content.
- You grant tinyGRID a limited, worldwide, non‑exclusive license to host, store, and display your User Content solely as needed to operate and improve the Service.
- You are responsible for ensuring that you have all necessary rights to upload and use the User Content with tinyGRID.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including all software, visual design, logos, and other materials (excluding User Content), is owned by tinyGRID or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws.
- You are granted a limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable license to access and use the Service for your internal business or personal purposes, subject to these Terms.
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse‑engineer, or create derivative works of the Service except as expressly allowed by law.
8. Data Protection and GDPR
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, or if you process personal data of individuals in these regions, the following applies:
- For most aspects of the Service, tinyGRID acts as an independent data controller for account, billing, and usage data.
- Where we process personal data on your behalf (for example, storing end‑user project data you upload), we act as a data processor and process such data only according to your instructions and in line with applicable data protection laws.
- We rely on different legal bases for processing, including:
- Performance of a contract (to provide the Service).
- Legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Service, prevent abuse).
- Compliance with legal obligations.
- Consent, when required (for example, certain marketing communications or cookies).
For more details, see our Privacy Policy.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
- We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error‑free.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- tinyGRID and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or loss of profits or revenues, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
- Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the amount you have paid to tinyGRID in the six (6) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.
11. CCPA/CPRA Notice (California)
If you are a California resident, you may have certain privacy rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). These are described in our Privacy Policy and include:
- The right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose.
- The right to delete certain personal information.
- The right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (tinyGRID does not "sell" personal information as that term is defined by CCPA/CPRA).
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service and cancel your account at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, or remove User Content, if we reasonably believe that:
- You have violated these Terms;
- Your use poses a security risk or could adversely impact the Service; or
- We are required to do so by law.
Upon termination, the sections that by their nature should survive will remain in effect (including intellectual property, limitations of liability, and governing law).
13. Changes to the Service and Terms
We may update, modify, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date and, if the changes are material, we will provide additional notice (for example, via email or in‑app notification). Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
